How Whop clipping campaigns work

Brands pay clippers to turn their videos into short clips and post them. This guide explains every term on a campaign page, how a post gets paid, and the mistakes that cost clippers money.

Updated November 1, 2026.

Short answer

A Whop clipping campaign pays you per 1,000 views on short clips you post from the brand’s videos. You join the campaign, follow its rules, post on an allowed platform from your own account (some campaigns require it to be connected first), and submit the post link soon after posting: Content Rewards asks for it within 30 minutes. The brand reviews it; approved posts are paid by views, from the minimum payout up to the maximum payout per post, while the campaign budget lasts.

What a clipping campaign is

Brands, agencies and creators fund campaigns through Content Rewards, on Whop or at contentrewards.com. Clippers turn the brand’s long videos (podcasts, streams, trailers, interviews) into short clips, post them on their own TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram or other accounts, and get paid for the views. Some campaigns ask for filmed content instead (UGC), such as a person on camera; those are not clipping.

Every term on a campaign page

Minimum and maximum payout as described in Whop’s Content Rewards documentation.
TermWhat it means
Rate per 1,000 views (CPM)What one approved post earns for each 1,000 views.
Minimum payoutWhat a post must earn before it is reviewed and paid. With a $2 rate and a $5 minimum, a post needs 2,500 views.
Maximum payoutThe most one post can earn. With a $2 rate and an $800 maximum, views after 400,000 do not add more.
BudgetThe total the brand put in. When it is used up, the campaign stops paying.
PlatformsWhere posts are accepted, for example TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Content requirementsThe rules: length, format, captions, required text, tags, what to avoid.
Reference materialsThe brand’s videos, documents and files (watermarks, logos, songs). Some campaigns show them only after you join.
Flat feeAn optional fixed amount on top of the views, on some campaigns.

From joining to getting paid

  1. Join the campaign
On Whop or contentrewards.com. Read the terms on the campaign page first: some campaigns ask you to apply, and some show their files only after you join.
  2. Connect your social accounts
Some campaigns require a connected account to check that the post is yours. Connect it before you submit.
  3. Make clips from the campaign sources
Use the brand’s own footage, not other clippers’ edits, and follow every requirement.
  4. Post on an allowed platform
With the required tags and mentions.
  5. Submit the post link quickly
Content Rewards asks you to submit the link within 30 minutes of posting.
  6. Review and payment
The brand approves posts that follow the rules. Approved posts are paid by views, between the minimum and the maximum.

Campaigns that approve drafts first

Some campaigns ask you to submit the video as a draft before posting. The brand approves or rejects the draft; only after approval do you post it and submit the live link. Draft approval does not guarantee payment.

Mistakes that cost clippers money

  • Posting on a platform the campaign does not pay for. Check the platforms before you post.
  • Missing a required tag, text or watermark. One missing item can mean a rejected post.
  • Submitting late. Many campaigns only take posts made in the last 30 minutes.
  • Reposting other clippers’ edits. Campaigns pay for clips made from their sources, not for reposts.
  • Clipping a campaign that is out of budget. Check the budget left before you start.
  • Joining a UGC campaign by mistake. If it asks for filmed content, clips from long videos will not count.

How Bolqan automates a campaign

Bolqan does these steps for you on the Volcano plan: it reads the campaign with your Whop account, makes clips that follow its rules, checks each finished clip, posts only on allowed platforms and submits each post in its first 30 minutes, including drafts that need approval.
