To edit a long YouTube video like a big channel: cut every silence and dead pause, open with a strong first sentence on a moving shot, change the picture every few seconds (a zoom, a stock video that shows what you say, a full-screen line of text), keep captions on screen for people on mute, and come back to a strong moment every few minutes. Bolqan’s YouTube edit does all of it on a whole wide video: Zoom Text at the start, every 3 minutes and at the end, stock videos and animated text all along.
1. Cut the dead air
Pauses, breaths and restarts are where viewers leave. Cut them all for a fast pace, or keep the short ones for a calmer talk, but never leave a long silence.
2. Open strong
The first 10 seconds decide if people stay. Start on a sentence that promises something, with movement on screen: the camera glides to one side and the key words appear next to you.
3. Change the picture every few seconds
- A zoom on the word that matters
- A stock video that shows what you say: money, a city, a phone, a workout
- A full-screen line of text on a strong sentence or a number
- Big words behind you at key moments
4. Keep captions on
Many people watch with the sound off. Strong captions in the language of the video keep them following.
5. Come back to a strong moment every few minutes
Attention drops in long videos. A new strong moment every few minutes (Bolqan uses a Zoom Text moment every 3 minutes) wakes the viewer up and resets the pace. End on one too, so the last seconds feel finished.
